Hello Scribes,I have just downloaded the new WinREG programme 2.01.37
I find that I now have a new icon on desktop titled 2.01.37,however,I still have on the desktop 2.01 36,I have been into (Vista) Settings,Control Panel,Programs,Uninstall, but can only find the new programme listed with today's date 10/11/09 and 8.24 Mb.
If I go onto all programmes and hilight Winreg all I get is a box named "empty".
So I am assuming that the old winreg is still on my hard disc, how do I remove it?
I dont like clutter.

New WinREG
Your symptoms would indicate to me that the previous version of the program has been replaced. But, the icon/shortcut has been left behind. This didn't happen to me when I updated my Vista Home Premium laptop. Suggest you delete the extraneous icon from the Desktop.

Thank you Mike for your suggestion, normally Windows will tell you that you can only remove the icon, not the programme, when using that method, however I tried it and all it said was "do you really want to remove this",I clicked and all is now gone, just as you said.
Thanks again
