Have you any specific information on him?
Was he in planes or boats, both were under the control of the RAF.
If you have his service details, his records can be obtained through the link on the Vertern's Agency site.
    Good luck

There is a man of that name who was Mentioned in Despatches (MID) and is listed on the following site:

    https://www.doverwarmemorialproject.o...airseabook.htm

He appears to have been on motor boats.

Any idea if he may have served in Malta during the War?

    Hi Xenia,

    Here's a very good start.

Malta at War, Click on the Air Sea Rescue Section.

Any chance of some additional information?

    Cheers

His MiD was gazetted on 1st January 1943

His service number indicates that he enlisted in April 1940.

If he was killed during the war, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission will have the details and will probably be able to tell you his unit at the time. The RAF (office in Gloucester/Cheltenham) will supply service history to next of kin (or used to!), but depends whether he was an officer or other rank as to where you direct the enquiry. The RAF Museum at Hendon I believe have the aircraft record cards which show losses by date. Can't guarantee this is correct now, it is many years since I researched RAF subjects!
