    Hi,

This is a very long shot and I don't know if I'm on the right tracks. This post is from such a long time back I'm not even sure I will get a reply. I am doing my family tree and struggling with my dads side. His name is Robert Ashford and he was born in 1938. Father Cyril Douglas Ashford born in SHEPPEY. Mother Gladys Thompson. My father was evacuated during the war to Bishop Auckland. Unfortunately they divorced and my father never had any contact with him or his family. He recalls talk of an uncle Leslie? Coming to see him when he was a baby?
All I know was that he was in the RAF and there's a Chef/Waiter on my dads birth certificate. Also that he moved to New Zealand. He was in the RAF in Malta and I've looked up his records and found his number was 1190618

Not even sure I'm on the right tracks

    Hope to hear soon
