My Gt Grandmother was above, my Grandmother Florence ARTHUR was born
out of wedlock in 1881 in Tenderten Kent. I am trying to trace my Gt g.
who I believe married William French b/Essex 1856, I have them both in
1901 census living in Barry, Glamorgan , but have been unable to discover
when they married. Inthis census it list Elizabeth a born in Kingsnorth, Kent
which matches other info I have on Arthur family. Also I have a photo
taken I beleive in 1934 with an old lady surrounded by my twin brothers
at about 1 yr old and my four sisters, on the back of photo are words
Granny French , my problem is I cannot find out when they married
to confirm that this is truly my Gt Grandmother .
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sacha,
this is a bit of a wildcard, but a possibility?
Jun 1888
FRENCH William Norwich 4b 296
(and on the same page Elizabeth ARTHURTON)

Forget that. There's a birth in Norwich for an Elz Arthurton in 1862.

Have you found them in 1891? It might narrow down the date and search area a bit.

Just for anyone else trying to help with this Sacha, I'd forgotten that you've posted about this family before. The thread is titled "Florence Edith Arthur", and might help others with some background information.

Elizabeth Arthur
Hi Birdlip,
I have found the family in 1891 living in Cadoxton, Barry ,Wales,
I believe this certainly my Gt Grandmother, but still unable to
discover marriage registration or births of children . I suppose it
is possible these were not registered, but sall keep trying and
thanks for your advice. I was talking to my 84 year old sister
in Australia and she remembers visiting Wales when she was a
child but with whom she cannot remember.
Thanks again Sacha
