    Default FENNELL/KEEFE

Looking for Michael Fennell and Catherine Keefe who married in Birr, Offaly in 1849 and later lived in the Clonmel area of Tipperary and were buried there. Michael in 1876 and Catherine in 1902. Their daughter Catherine born 1857 emigrated to NZ with a cousin in 1876. Looking for other family members and siblings. Other related names are Mahoney and Guiry. Michael may have had a sister Judith who also married in Offaly in 1843 - no husband known yet.

John Fennell , a tailor, was living at The Green in 1894 and in 1902 there were keefes in New Rd. East; John, Gretta,Lily, Sophia,Ellen and Agnes.
(all courtesy of Neil Farrell's book on Birr)

Offally Family history centre in Tullamore have records as do the churches in Birr both RC and C.o. I called St. Brendan's.

Sometimes you just wait and you get lucky. There is more stuff being made available.
You could get a marriage cert for Michael and Catherine(if you have not got one) from GRO Ireland for a small fee.
