    Question NATURALIZED

    Its me AGAIN.ok daft question, Why would a south african born soldier in the RAF in england be naturilized after been married in england [twice] surly he would have done this earlier.

    Not necessarily, perhaps duing the time in which he lived in the UK the rules for continued residency changed? - or maybe he just decided at that point in time that he wanted to be naturalized?

    Was this after 1948? - see paragraph 6 of this TNA research guide which mentions the British Nationality Act 1948.
