    Welcome to the forums.

If you don't have it already, you should apply for his service record.

There may be mention of his regiment in the London Gazette

The Naval and Military Press may have a published book of interest.

As this is recent history - if anyone can help with personal information which relates to anyone still alive, please contact cailesy by private message or e-mail.

Order of battles has them in the 77th Infantry (Indian) Brigade (Brig. J.M. Calvert) for the Second Chindit Expedition 1944.

Also Wikipedia has 1st Battalion The King's Regiment (Liverpool): 81 and 82 Columns

The 2 Queen's Royal Regiment was also in this force 16th Infantry Brigade (Brig. B.E. Fergusson)

    Welcome to the forum, Cailesy!

There are a number of books about the King's Liverpool Regiment, including one 3-volume affair published in 2002. Have you tried your local library or Liverpool Central Library?
