    Default Abbreviations used for Regiments

    I have photo of an ancestor in WW1 Army uniform and on the back it says D Coy, 27th TRB, Dovercourt, Nr Harwich. Any suggestion as the to the Regiment this stands for please ? The photo does not have a date unfortunately. Thanks

    As far as I know TRB = Training Reserve Brigade/Battalion

    That would date the photo to the period 1916-17
