Peter Gillespie - Where To Look ?

Hi,


I'm trying to find where my ancestor Peter Gillespie was born/died. He married on 21 Dec 1770 in Logie, Perthshire to Helen Nucol/Nicol, then moved to Alloa, Clackmananshire. He was working as a labourer for a Mr Erskine in 1775, when his son David was born.

I would love know where to look to find his birth or death records, as I don't really know where to look next .

I found this baptism on the IGI, it might be of use

Christening: 06 NOV 1743 Dunipace, Stirling, Scotland
Father: PATRICK GILLESPY
Mother: JANET WILSON
Batch C114782

He looks young for a 1770 marriage but this is baptism not birth and could be some years later.

I could not find his son David's birth on the IGI so I guess you have some alternate doumentation.
