Hi,
I'm trying to find my uncle called Tom King who emigrated from Glasgow, Scotland to Canada sometime in 1940/50's ?. I know he was born on 9 Feb 1918 in Glasgow, to John King & Bessie Bruce.
I also know he lived in Vancouver, and was married & divorced to a lady called Sally. I'm afraid I don't know if they had any children. I think he died c. early 1980's.
I'm sure I have canadian cousins that I don't know about!
Where do I find his marriage, (possibly births), & death certs ?
Thanks,
Daryl

Hi Louisa,
You found my uncle Tom! That's fantastic. Does it say when he sailed to Canada ?
How do I find out what happened to him in Canada ?
Many Thanks,
Daryl

The voyage sailed from Liverpool 24 November, 1948 bound for St. John N.B. I did a quick check for a death in the B.C. Archive Index here https://search.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/sn-8B3E3B/gbsearch but did not find an obvious entry. Have a look at the index and if you find something that looks promising, post the details and I will check the microfilm at the local library.
