Please can someone help? Helena Sarah F. Fitzgibbons (sometimes spelt with a capital G) born Dec.q. 1900. Parents died 1911 and 1912 in Billericay and elder brother, Patrick John, was seemingly sent to live with relatives. Family lore has it that Helena died very young, possibly before her parents, but I just cannot find her death.

Have you found them on the 1901 or 1911 census? Parents names would help.

Oh my word, everyone, Thank you, V.Wells, Maggie and gasser. This has opened up a whole new mystery. The story we knew was that the parents died when Patrick junior was young (how young?) and that he went to live with relatives, also that his sister,(who after research we thought to be Helena) died very young but Patrick junior was reluctant to talk about his early life. Gasser, do I owe you for the 1911 lookup? We need to do some rethinking here. But, thank you all very much.

Sorry, V.Wells, do I owe you for the 1911 census? I don't want anyone to be out of pocket for this.

I looked for her parents deaths on bmd, found their names, searched 1911 using what information I had on both parents and childrens names , ie a search for a particular name plus name of additional member of household and by process of elimination came up with the result!
best wishes
