    Angry Thomas Hall Greenway

    Good afternoon
I am new to this forum abd I could really do with some help.
I am trying to trace a death date/area for my husbands paternal g g grandfather, his name was Thomas Hall Greenway, aka Frank or Francis. he was born in 1849 Edgebaston. He disappeared after the 1871 Census. I have found his wife and children.

information was passed to me from a distant relation that he went to Canada with 2 of his sons. His sons were adopted out there after his death and hae never returned to this country. i have some info on the 2 sons but need to find Frank. He is my brickwall and I feel that i am constantly headbutting the wall!!!

I hope someone somewhere can help me.
    Thanks
    K

    Hi Iamshe
Is it possible to let us have a little more information please so we can find the family for certain on the census.
What was the name of Thomas' wife and children and when were they born?

So presumably you have found him in the 1871 census. What is the reference, please?

    Hi all,
Thank you for offering to help.
Thomas married Agnes George as Frank Greenway 18th Dec 1871 Aston Registry office from 378 Pershore Road Edgebaston. Living at 114 Moseley Road Deritend Aston Birmingham when registering first son Ernest's birth. Living in Kings norton March quarter 1873 and annuitant (?) 6 Heath street Kings Norton in April 1875 when registering son Alfreds birth. Agnes registered 2 births in 1878 and 1880. No sign of him on 1881 census but Agnes calling herself married and living with her sister. Called Thomas Francis Hall Greenway when Agnes registered last sons birth in June 1881.
Agnes called herself widow by 1891 census. Allegedly deceased according to sons marriage cert in 1892 Named as Francis William Greenway deceased, retired pulican on Agnes death certing in 1992, possibly an error as registration was done by daughter in law who presumably never knew him. This info was sent to me by his neice and we cannot find a death date anywhere. Heres hoping....... Kaye

    Hi Raffaele
Thanks for replying, I agree right name and right age but I do not recognise any of the others so am pretty sure this is not my Frank. Thank you but will certainly investigate it.
