    Question BLUECOAT SCHOOL BIRMINGHAM

    Hi, I am tryingto trace information on this school, it seems some of the HAYNES family from Aston went to it around the 1900s any help would be much appreciated

    Default Bluecoat school

    It was formed in 1722, being supported by subscriptions and trusts. It was sited overlooking St Phillips near the centre of birmingha,m. It was almost opposite Snow Hillstation. It was a charity school originally, and was rebuilt and expanded over the years, becoming effectively a C of E supportred school in 1817. In 1930 a new building was constructed out of the centre at Harborne.
