    Default Which conflict?

    Can anyone help me please my GGG Grandfather volunteered in the army in the early 1800's as he was well educated he was soon made pay sergent and then he became secretary to the Govenor over in Greece. He was born approx 1785. So if anyone can tell what war I would be very happy

    Thanks Finbar and Procat I have recently got away from ancestory.com and joined up with my heritage what a great site, cheaper, better very friendly and they take paypal which is great for me as I dont have a credit card.
