    if you are looking for information on The Forest of Dean have you tried the website of the Forest of Dean Family History Society. they have transcribed the records for going back sometimes into the 1600's. you have to registed but there is no charge.

    Sorry for the delay. I regularly check the Forest of Dean website which is a great family history site for anyone researching ancestors from the FOD area, the organisers have put in a great deal of work into transribing the records.
    I'm still trying to locate Mary Ann Preddy through the Linton records, I have a birth certificate for one of their children which shows the mother's name as BRADDY!!
