    Default Tyrone - CRANE, COUSINS

I have had a fair amount of success in tracing the English side of my family, but this is my first foray into the Irish half. I gather that Irish records are less complete than those for England and any advice would be appreciated. I am seeking information about my grandparents, in particular the identities of their parents and any siblings. Their names were John Crane (b. 15 Aug. 1883, Omagh, Tyrone) and Sarah Ann Cousins (b. 1 Jan. 1886, Omagh, Tyrone). I didn't find listings for either of them in the LDS Ireland Births Index, but their marriage was listed in Ireland Marriages January-March 1903 (Index of Marriages 1902-05; LDS Film # 101260) with the reference v.2, p. 277. I believe that he was a farm labourer and she was the daughter of a miller. They immigrated to Canada in 1907 and their religious affiliation was listed as Presbyterian in the 1911 Canadian census.

    Default John Crane

Hi JMD Emerald Ancestors have a record of the marriage between John Crane and Sarah Cousins:

    26 November 1903
    Omagh Second Presbyterian Church

The church has a website so you could possibly contact the church or get a copy of the marriage certificate from:

    https://www.groni.gov.uk/index.htm

    https://www.trinitypresbyterianchurchomagh.co.uk/

On the marriage certificate it should give you the names of the fathers of the bride and groom.
