    Hi
Norma I don't know which county Milton Bryant is in & I couldn't find it on my map, so here goes you need the records office in the county Milton Bryant is in for both poor law & parish Records.
If this is near where you live you could ask at your local Library if they have Parish records some of them do keep them.

    1834-1899: Woburn Union

    From 1899: Ampthill Union

Check A2A and/or the Beds Archives site for any catalogue there might be.

The Mormons have filmed some pre-1834 parish poor law papers

You don't mention the dates you're interested in so this may not be of interest.

Bedfordshire Family History Society has published an index Bedfordshire Parish Poor Law Papers 1622-1834 described as
An index to personal names mentioned in Poor Law documents (largely relating to settlement)

You could also try BLARS online catalogue at https://blars.adlibsoft.com/ and A2A at https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/a...rch.aspx?tab=1

Have you checked the IGI where there are Chapman baptisms in the timescale you mention? The easiest way to access it if you are looking for a single parish is via the Hugh Wallis site at https://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.....htm#PageTitle

There are Chapman burials in Milton Bryan as follows
    Sophia 4mths 29 Sep 1823
    Hannah 5 mths 24 Oct 1823
    Elizabeth 31 18 Jan 1824

I can't work out what was going on as the twins were just shown as daughters of Elizabeth, with no mention of Joseph. Had he died or disappeared in the meantime - but there's no burial in Beds that fits

    Hi davidcarca,
Thanks for the burials in Milton Bryant of Sophia & Hannah I didn`t have those.

The reason there was no husband mentioned I believe is that Elizabeth`s husband Joseph in 1817 was Transported to Australia for life, she must have had the two girls by someone else!
I found the trial at Bedford Gaol in 1817 where Joseph was sentenced to death and then reprieved to Transportation.
Elizabeth the mother of the girls above, had my 3x Gt Grandfather Joseph in Milton Bryant in 1817 father was Joseph.
I need to prove that the Joseph who got transported was the father of 1817 Joseph.

    Thanks again
    Norma
