    Exclamation GUY between 12th & 15th centuries

Wanted any and all information concerning the GUY name before the 1450s
I have the Domesday & Leicestershire survey entries of the 11th & 12th centuries and am hoping to fill in the gaps to my proven ancestors.
Well we can all dream can't we. ;-))
    Cheers

Guy, I am currently looking - slowly due to work commitments - through the Stafforshire Pipe Rolls, I am looking mainly for variants of DUROSE, in the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries. Are you looking for the surname or the first name or both. If I find any I will record them with references etc for you. Do you want them in original Latin or translated into English - my Medieval Latin is getting better and these documents are "recipe book" anyway, the same phrases repeated all the time.

You have, of course, looked on A2A? Using all spellings of the name?

Thanks Liz, in the early records such as pipe rolls I always look for both as the name originated as Guy de Credun (Widon de CREDVN) this eventually transformed into Guy as a surname.
Please disregard any references to Widon de Renbvdcvrt (Guy de Raimbeaucrout) as this was a seperate family.
    Latin would be fine.
    Cheers
    Guy
