    Question W Hollingshead

In my late aunt's papers I found a postcard of a corner shop with the name of W? Hollingshead Grocer & Provision Dealer Cash Stores with a couple standing outside. The man is elderly with a beard and smoking a pipe. The photo may date from the late 1800's or early 1900's and has a reference 6238A in white.

As my aunt was born in Nocton in 1918 and lived all her married life in Lincoln so I guess the corner shop was somewhere in Lincolnshire. The name Hollingshead, at present, does not appear in my tree.

It would be interesting to know the location of the shop etc

The HOLLIN(G)SHEADs appear to have been a family of millers and bakers from Martin. In 1901 there was a Walter J HOLLINSHEAD 33 Miller and Baker, Martin
at the corner of High St and Drury St, Metheringham.

I mention that one as it's very close to Nocton.
