Has anyone any tips on how I might Google the occupation of cooper in Bermondsey? All I get (unsurprisingly!) is a host of people with the surname Cooper when what I am hoping to find is an insight into the life of my ancestor, John Robbins, who lived in Bermondsey and worked as a cooper!
Any advice would be much appreciated - thank you.

You could try some of the following phrases. It's worthwhile searching under both 'the web' and 'pages from the UK'. I've used the 19th century as an example.
- 19th century Bermondsey occupations
- historical Bermondsey occupations
- online resources bermondsey 19th century occupations
- pdf bermondsey 19th century occupations
- history cooperingBrowneyes
