My husband's step Grandmother was Jessie Mansell born 1886 and from very recent research we think born Liverpool. Her Father was John; deceased at the time of her marriage in 1942, but she gave his occupation as Grocer's Manager.
We subsequently found a family at Walton on the Hill, Liverpool on the 1891 where Father was a Provisions salesman and young Jessie was aged 5.

    Any link?

My great-great grandfather was Edward Haddock (1839), son of Mary Haddock (1820). He was a sea captain at 18 on a ship out of Liverpool. Immigrated to the US in 1862-64. Lived in Bloomington, Bear Lake, Idaho. Mary's brother, John Haddock, also immigrated. They were from Barnton and Little Leigh. I have been trying to find info on the ship he was on. It carried coal and salt. Are we possibly related?
