    Anyone who is researching the St Ives area of Cornwall,for people,shipping,and local history,should definately have a look at this book.

    John Tregerthen Short and Thomas Williams of St Ives Cornwall,1804 1814.
    The second half of this book (hundreds of pages) is the diary 1817-1872 of John Tregerthen Short,,and the details of life,death and how they died,shipping,shipwrecks,politics,people is amazing!!! Photos as well.

    I always knew that there were a lot of shipwrecks on the Cornish coast but until I read the diary in the back of this book I never realized just how many!!
