    Default HMS VIVID

    Hiya, i have received my grandfathers marriage certificate,and it has as Rank or Profession --20576 Leading Stoker HMS VIVID----this was in 1919.
    could anyone please tell me how i find out more about this?

    HMS Vivid was the Royal Navy Barracks at Devonport. You may find your Grandfather's Naval Records on-line at the National Archives web site. If you do find them, they are downloadable for £3.50 (last time I used them).
