    Smile census look up!

I wonder if SKS who has access to any census for Wiltshire other than 1881 or 1901 could check for any Badder families. I am trying to group all the Badder's from my database I have.

Many thanks Trish for the census results. Much appreciated! I am trying to form up all the families then cross referencing them with my Badder database. Then I am putting them into their own family trees with maybe me creating a one name study but for now helping out fellow Badder researchers from your area. If I do get stuck can I reask questions for putting them in the right family group?

    Smile Source of BADDER info

    Trish,

Well done on so much work for Tony on BADDER in the `71 and `91 census. Could I suggest you cite the source(s) so Tony can decide how much confidence to assign to the data? Some (commercial index) sources at present are less than reasonably reliable and in fairness to all, they should be able to determine that before placing too much reliance on the information.

Terry thanks for your comments. My database is my own transcriptions from the GRO that our local LDS had available. It was complete from 1837-1983. This has helped me immensly in sorting my own Nottingham group other than a few children born and died between census. Of these, I have found a few baptised so could still put them with their parents but the rest I am going to eventually buy the certificates to finish the results. In the mean time I do have a large Badder collection from Wiltshire and Somerset area so thought I would put them into their family groups. 1983 back to 1912 is rather easy because spouses and mothers maiden name are in the Index its prior to that where you have to rely on census or baptism to flesh them out. SO seeing Trish's results pretty well place my names with hers quite easy using their age and place of birth. I may question the odd one especially same name and do not absoloutly say its correct. But if someone comes along to search that family I can at least give them the outline to go on.
Hope I have not rambled on too long
    Best wishes

Hi Trish! I apologise firstly but after going through the list I still cannot pick out all the families for sure. I have the names in my database that I can tick off, just not sure on who belongs to who???? If its at all possible and not too much bother could you resend as family units?? Again I apologise for being a pain.
    Kindest regards

Sorry, Terry. You're right, of course. I should have named my source -- and I usually give the reference details as well when it's only one family.

Tony, FYI, I pulled the BADDER names from ancestry [I can go to the images if there's anything you want verified.]

    Regards,
    Trish
