I am wondering if anyone has had the chance to research records of saddlers in London in the 1860. George Talbot was a saddler living in London in the 1760s. He died at the age of 33 in 1768. All I know is that he lived or worked in Bloomsbury. Prior to moving to London he lived in Eyam. Any suggestions on if there might be more to learn.

Have a look at the history pages of the Worshipful Company of Saddlers. It should provide some background to your ancestor's occupation.

I would guess that you would find the same sorts of information on your saddler as I did on my Butcher. At LMA I actually got to look and fondle the apprentice record itself as well as see the freeman stuff.
It actually was how I confirmed who my guys father was and where he was from. My Butcher was in East London, 1750-1800.
