Default Home made Video Of Ancestors Lives.

    Hi

I wonder if any of you have evr thought about making a home made video charting the lives of a particular family line etc?

I would love to do one with my London relatives, which involves filming the streets, churches and workplaces they used while narrating at the same time ie "This is where he worked in 1886 etc".

Then following it off with you filming their BMD certs, census and other ancestor records while narrating at the same time? A bit of your own personalised family history DVD filming the locations with commentary?

Have any of you done this or have thought about doing this?

I would go with a slideshow (not PowerPoint but one that come with DVD burners).

Start with the tree - then certificate, then photo of place (if it is still standing ). Then you could do stills of the area, marriage certificate, more photos, any census records (watch out for copyright) and through to the cemetery. You can then set the timings and narrate the show to the timing of the slides. This could then be burnt onto DVD.
