Hi, I have the surname QUAYLE to throw into the pot, as if my pot isn't full to overflowing already!!!

Quayle - Isle of Man. It is thought that one of the females from the Jackson branch of our huge tree married into the Quayle family.

My Father in Law has vague recollections of visiting Aunts, Uncles and cousins called Quayle in the Isle of Man as a child, this would be late 1930s and early 1940s. He thinks they were related to his Grandmother, Annie Louisa Divine nee Jackson b 9/1/1870 in Earl Shilton, Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Annie was an only child so we think the female Jackson who married a Quayle must have been a sister to her Father Walter Jackson b 1843 in Kenilworth, Warickshire. He had 4 sisters;
Sarah Ann b 1838
Hannah b 1840
Catherine b 1844
Ann b 1848 and 2 half sisters from his Fathers first marriage;
Rosa & Louisa twins b 1831.

As this thread is so thin I haven't got very far. If any of this rings a bell with anyone I would love to hear from you.

Many thanks, June
