I am looking for Adams families who lived in Medstead and Chawton 18th and 19th century. Little Fanny Adams who was murdered in 1868 was of the same family , a distance cousin to me.

I've found an old record (with no authentication I'm afraid) of my 4xGgrandfather James ADAMS who married Elizabeth Bell at Cheriton on 18 Sept 1786. I'm descended from their daughter, Ph(o)ebe, born 1801, Cheriton.
I have no other knowledge of James ADAMS and would be grateful for anything you might tell me of his family.
