Hi there Sandyhall what I am reallylooking for is any living decendants of the 11 Allen?massom family I am the son of Emily Hopkins Nee Allen born 1904 I can go back to 1650 on the Allen side of the family and back to Marlbourgh Wilts 1811 on the Massom side,,,

Right I've got it now......

But you don't say where you are so I don't know how easy it is for you to look at records etc......

These are my thoughts do you know the names of any of your mums brothers and sisters, next you need to look for any marriages that you don't know about (I think this could be hard as their is the 75 year law that says you can't see the records) Just had a quick look at FreeBMD marriages go up to 1929 but as this is an ongoing project they have not all been transcribed yet.

Have you put a family tree on any web sites that you could get hits from other people with the same name.

I don't know of any thing else apart from a long shot of looking in the phone book and ringing up People with the name Allen or putting a add in the local paper.
