    Exclamation Ann Amelia Harp c.1826

I am looking for any relative details for my 3x Gt Grandmother Ann Amelia Harp.
Ann is recorded on the English census as being born in Panton Isle of Man.
Someone has told me that it is more than likely to be Santon as Panton does not exist.

Ann Amelia Harp married Miles Dickenson in Northwich Cheshire in 1849.
Miles was a Primitive Methodist Minister & during 1857 was ministering @Ramsey which I believe is in the Isle of Man

The 1st child of Miles & Ann was Alexander & I believe this may be the name of Anns father.
Reason for this being that the 2nd son was my 2x Gt Grandfather Joseph who was named after Miles father.

Any help with Ann Amelias' family would be appreciated

    Regards

    Default Ann A HARP

    Hi Betty,

There is this family in the 1841 census of Peterhead, Aberdeen. Unfortunately, there is not an image to view just a transcription:

Parish No 232, Address: Lighthouse, Peterhead, Aberdeen Occupation: Light Keeper

    Household members:

    William DAVIDS aged 35
    Alexandri HARP aged 55
    Ann HARP aged 14
    Elizabeth HARP aged 23
    Helen HARP aged 20
    Isabella HARP aged 15
    Jeane HARP aged 23

Ann and Isabella were born in England, all the rest in Scotland.

Alexander HARP is still in Scotland in the 1851 & 1861 census records with daughters Elizabeth & Isabella.

Does any of this ring a bell?

    Hi,

    Cheshire BMD

There is a marriage for Ann Amelia Harp and Miles Dickenson, September Quarter 1849

    Little Budworth, St Peter

Registers at Cheshire Central, Ref 132/1/28

Maybe there is a kind person out there who could do a Parish look up for you.

    Best wishes
    Anne

    Hi Janet,

I certainly think this family could be a possible contender.
If Alexander is a Light Keeper then possibly he did work in Isle of Man when both Ann & Isabella was born.

I have actually found Isabella in the Manchester area I think on the 1861c & it does say she was born Isle of Man the same as Ann

Will keep this on file for definite until I can possibly authenticate it.

    Kind Regards

    Betty

    Hello Anne

This is great,it has given me more definitive detail of the place of marriage.
I only had Northwich before, but that is the registration district.

    Kind regards
    Betty
