Hello all ,
The Jewish Chronicle reported some time ago that c. 1656-1800, an ISAACS ' clan ' lived in the Ipswich area . I have found references to individual ISAACS [ presumably on their way from Harwich to wherever...?] but not to a large, settled, family group; though Cecil Roth in ' The Rise of Provincial Jewry' [Ipswich] also implies as much .
Is anyone able to clarify this further?
Thankyou for reading this post.
