    Default Thomas Gray - waterman

I am trying to find any info on my ancestor - Thomas Gray [b1824 at Drakeholes, Notts, lived later at Gainsborough]. He was master of the sloop "Princess Victoria" carrying coal from Gainsborough [where it was based] to Hull. Moored at Hessle Haven in the Humber at time of 1861 census. All the family were on board - Thomas, wife Sarah, children - Catherine, John & Joseph, brother-in-law William Stainton, his wife & two children. Any info on Thomas & his family would be gratefully received, if not known could anybody point me in the right direction. Also any info on the boat "Princess Victoria" built presumably before 1837.

    Thomas Gray 47 occupation Sloopman
    Mary Ann Gray 48
    Joseph Gray 13 (son)
    Sarah Ann Gray (daur)

    next door is:
    John Gray 79 occupation Sloopman
    Jane Gray 54
    Hannah Harwood (grand daughter)
