    Default Absent Voters 1918 Birmingham

For anyone researching family members from Brum who served in WWI, there is a pay-per-view site that has the 1918 Absent Voters Electoral Roll. The roll is name indexed, so is easy to search. There is loads more info on this site, quite apart from the absent voters. The site is called midlandshistoricaldata and a search engine should bring it up.

Hope this is as useful to others as it has to me. I found my paternal Grandad, with his Regt No, his unit and his rank. Boy, was I pleased, I didn't even know he had served.

    Barrie.
