On the Bedfordshire library site, I found this article in the "Daily News" Monday, December 23, 1918.
"The famous daylight raid of Saturday, July 17, 1917, saw 68 explosive bombs
dropped on Central London, but several failed to explode. Enormous damage was caused in the City, particularly in ... St. Martin's-le-Grand (where the General Post Office was hit and badly damaged and one man killed."
We believe this is my husband's great uncle.
Can someone suggest some other newspapers that I can read online that might have some more info, and can I look up an obituary online? We don't know his first name, but the last name would be Williams. His father John Williams was also killed the same day when their house was bombed.
Kind Regards,
Nadine

I don't think you'll find an obituary online
Have you tried the Times Digital Archive?
https://www.galeuk.com/times/
or did you access that via Bedfordshire Library?

Geoffers,
Thanks for the link.
I just joined the Bedfordshire Library and the article was from that site. But I don't know what city's paper was "The Daily News". I just noticed I can read the Times digital archives from there too! fingers crossed!

Nadine
