My husband is trying to research his family history on line from Portugal (and is driving me mad in the process,) and has discovered that on 25/6/1913 his grandfather, Joseph Haworth (also Howarth) was living at Glebe Lane, Banks, North Meols, Lancs. where his daughter Mary was born. He is described as a farm labourer.
Can anyone tell me if the farm still exists and if by any remote chance it is still in the ownership of the same farming family?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Jespa.

Sorry to hijack Jespa's thread, but I find myself intrigued by UK's signature. I know what a gasbag is, and I know what a berm is (it's the word my husband always looks up to test whether a dictionary is good), though the combination makes the mind boggle, but surely Gasbag Berm Mem Ret can't be Manchester's new motto?

You crazy mixed up Manchester research specialist! I'll let Jespa have her thread back now. I'm sure they're not as mixed up as us in North Meols.

Err thank you, UK Search and Sue Mackay. Sorry I took so long to reply, been out in the sun all day.
I've sent the links to my husband to look at. Thanks again.
