Sharon, I see in past posts that you were seeking info on a Nathan Charnley. I have just discovered in my family tree a connection to a Nathan Charnley and wonder if there could be a connection:

Nathan Charnley m Elizabeth Latham 20-06-1796
children:
Nathan Charnley b: 12-03-1800
Bella Charnley b: 17-10-1802
William Charnley b: 20-05-1805 m Elizabeth Denny
Elizabeth Charnley b: 30-01-1808 m John Lambert
Richard Charnley b: 13-03-1810 m Ellen Walton
Margaret Charnley b: 15-04-1812

I'm guessing that the ones without partners probably died.

Elizabeth Charnley & John Lambert had a son
Richard who married Alice Clayton
they had a son Thomas
Thomas married Lucy Ann Morley - these are my great grandparents

It a long shot, but you might find some connection

You may not believe this but I've only just stumbled across the post you made for my attention concerning the Charnley family!!!

I am descended via Bella Charnley b 1802. She married William Murray Park in 1822. They are my 4 x great grandparents!

Still haven't got any further back with Nathan Charnley and Elizabeth Latham though!
