I found Henry Woodd listed in the 1891 Acton, Middlesex census as a minister. I then checked the 1881 census where he is listed as a student of theology.
How would I find out what church he ministered at?
He died about 1894 and his family also disappears from later census records.

Another snippet
He shows up in the Middlesex 1890 County Directory
"Woodd Hy. Snineton, Allison Rd. Actom (W)"
But he does *not* appear as the vicar of any of the churches in Acton in 1890.

Hmmm... it gets stranger, ....because he should show up in the Crockford's Directories.
I have a Crockford's Directory here for 1885, and he is conspicuous by his absence! That means that he was not a practising vicar.
The Crockfords are really good resources for tracing where vicars went to as they moved around all over the place. A typical entry looks like this:
For Crockford's Directories for other years (on CD), see here.

Henry Woodd/Wood..Acton
Thank you, Rod...one can never tell about this family.
The Woodds listed descend from the Woodd family who lived in Yorkshire.
We have wondered if the Wood family from Brentford changed the spelling to Woodd as they rose to better circumstances.

I think the Crockford's Directory only covers the Church of England.
If your man was CoE, I think he would have described himself as 'Vicar', 'Curate' or 'Clergyman'. As he referred to himself as a 'Minister' I think it is probably more likely that he was connected to one of the non-conformist chuches ie. Baptist, Methodist, Congregational etc.

Henry Wood/Woodd
I am wondering if he belonged to the Catholic Apostolic church. His brother went to Canada and that family was Apostolic Catholic. another relative of Henry's was also Apostolic Catholic.
