Unusual name Jex - I have a few on my trees:- John Jex of Lowestoft married Mary Coulson. Daughter Elizabeth married Thomas Blake born 07 November 1689. Son Thomas 1726-1826 of Scottow. Robert Jex 1805-1870, Swanton Morley, Norfolk maarried Charlotte Canham there in 1831. Hope that this helps.

I have a Francis Jax (possibly should be Jex, which appears to be more prevalent) b 1810 Barsham, 20 miles from Leiston. Father's name was Samuel, but I know nothing more of their origin. Do you know of any such Jex's in that area?
