Hi
Any ideas how to remove marks from a photo or give it a general clean. The marks Im thinking of look like blood.... nothing sinister!
the photos are black and white and early 1940's and developed professionaly.
Any help and advice would be appreaciated
Many thanks
Steve

My recommendation would be don't try!
I'd be inclined to scan the photo and digitally 'restore' it using Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or whatever your favourite tool is.

cleaning a photograph
I have a freebie disc from"Your Family Tree" magazine called "Photoclean Express". It is for improving faded, jaded and damaged photos.
It is for pc. and mac.
You are welcome to it-I haven't used it myself.
Send me your address and I'll post it to you.Last edited by Guest; 07-10-2007 at 3:16 PM. Reason: Removed email address

Please don't try to clean old photograph
Let me re-iterate the advice you received earlier. If you have a scanner, or a friend who has one, scan the photograph in at the highest resolution possible, and use the various tools available in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro to manipulate the image.
