Looking for Jane Budworth b 1837 in Leicester. In 1861 she was a nurse to the Brady family in Leicester.

Can't see them under the surname of Budworth or any possible mistranscriptions. They probably married and may well have done this outside of Leicestershire.

Nothing jumping out at me yet. No other information I take it??

Hi Teresa

Have found a Jane & Elizabeth Budworth in the 1861 census.
Jane is a nurse ,23, b Leicester living with John Brady & Family at
58 Gallowtree Gate Leicester. John was a draper, b Ireland c1818.

Elisabeth is a servant,22, b Leicestershire. She is living with the Robert Mole & family in Old Walsall Rd Handsworth Staffs. Robert was b c 1830 in Birmingham and he was a manufacturer of swords!

I guess they may well have married by the next census, which makes life very difficult.

I have posted the 1841 census details for your Jane & Elizabeth with their parents under Elizabeth BUDWORTH thread.

I have looked through the GRO Index (via Ancestry) for any marriages for both Jane and Elizabeth. There is only one marriage for a Jane in that period in the December qtr 1862 at Nottingham reg district vol 7b, page 373 and according to FreeBMD one of the other names on the page is that of a George MORGAN. There is an 1871 census record in Chipping Sodbury, Gloucestershire (RG10/2577, folio 56, page 10) of a George & Jane MORGAN and this Jane was born c1838 at Leicester - could be worth investigating.

There are only 3 marriages for an Elizabeth/Eliza. One in September 1862 at Stone reg district vol 6b, page 41, one in March 1863 at Liverpool vol 8b page 391 and one for an Eliza in December 1863 at Macclesfield vol 8a, page 194. All of these marriages are on FreeBMD so you can check the details for yourself.
