Hi Derek,
I'm not familiar with the UK "areas" yet, (from the USA) but I am searching for WATERWORTHS too.
In my WATERWORTH line (before they came to America)I have
James Waterworth that married Elizabeth (Cunliffe)
Had a son named Nathan Waterworth born on November 4, 1882
They came to the USA when Nathan was around 10 years of age. Nathan would have been my Great Grandfather.
The entry of Nathan's birth was filed in Somerfield, England.
I don't know if any of this information would tie into anything you might have, but I sure hope so!

Hi Heather,
Thanks for the reply. I cannot find a registration district called Somerfield, but I found one called Hayfield where a Nathan Waterworth was born in 1882.
Hayfield is on the Cheshire / Derbyshire border which, unfortunately, is a little too far from my Waterworths in Lancashire.
