Is it possible to access records for this firm, which, is still in existence. My gr grandfather Richard Law worked for Morgans for over 40 years apparently. He died in Leicester in 1931 aged 84.
I would love to know if records were/are kept.If so where would they be, and how could I access them?
I did write to Morgans enclosing s.a.e. but got no reply...probably thought I'd lost all reason.....as it would have been early 1920s(if then) that Richard would have retired.
I'd love to find out if any paperwork would have been kept.

Morgans records
Hi,
I know this is an old posting but just in case you haven't tried them;
Record Office for Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland, Long Street, Wigston Magna, LE18 2HA.
0116 257 1080
Even if they don't have them they're your best bet for help.

Thanks for your message.
I do visit the Records Office when I'm in Leicester, so I'll give them a try.
