Hi
I have started a weblog dedicated to a Royal Navy Castle Class Corvette, HMS Rushen Castle, and her crew. Would be very interested to hear from anyone with relatives who served on her in her early days as an anti-submarine frigate (1943-1946) - surnames I have come across so far are:
Billany
Brown
Clubb
Collins
Dowey
Gill
Gwinnell
Harman
Heathcote
Layton
Lee
Linsom
Mann
McMullen
Nattress
Palferman
Parsons
Rhodes
Salmon
Stubbs
Sullivan
Turner
Warwick
Weeks
Woolfenden
Rushen Castle served as a convoy escort ship between Liverpool and Gib. I know when in Liverpool she would be re-armed by Wrens - would therefore love to hear from others who may have come across the ship.
