Excellent, Sally! Your information is the last jigsaw piece to link my branch into the >600 name KIBBLEWHITE Great Tree [KGT] that goes back to Henry KIBBLEWHITE (Abt. 1420-) of South Fawley, Berkshire. This includes Jimmy KIBBLEWHITE (1866-1941) pre-Olympic running world-record holder and Sir Thomas WHITE (1492-1567) founder of St. John's College, Oxford and links by marriage to Oliver CROMWELL (1599-1658). I am putting it all onto PDF and would email.
KGT has Edward KIBBLEWHITE (1697- ) and Mary EDEY ( -1765).
My line descends from John KIBBLEWHITE (1831-1905) thru Frederick KIBBLEWHITE (1855-1932) 'Mill House Catford Kibblewhites' thru Frederick John KIBBLEWHITE (1880-1955).
    Which is your line?
For John KIBBLEWHITE and first wife Hannah 'Anna' ILES (1830-1886), I have six children: Emily (1850- ), Robert John (1853- ), Frederick (1855-1932), Annie Maria (1857- ), Clara Ann (1860- ) and Mary Elizabeth (1862-). You have seven; who is missing?

    Hi Robert

I guess that makes us cousins of some sort!

I am not sure that I do have 7 - I made a mistake I believe. My line is through John K's second marriage to Sarah Jane Light. His youngest son, Dugald Sinclair K was my mother's father b 1897 in Brixton (born when John K was 66!) died 1964 in Hampshire. John K had Stanley 1888-1917 (buried near Ypres), Doris Winifred (1890-1980), Constance Irene (1893 - ?) and Iris Margaret (1896-197?). My tree is all handwritten although I have most of it on genesreunited.co.uk. Are you in the UK?

I have a Kibblewhite connection in my Family Research in Berkshire

1810 John Coxhead (b 10-12-1810 - d 28-8-1876 Redfern NSW.) s/o William Coxhead & Harriet Kibblewhite Pounds (she was b 1804, East Garston Berks). John Coxhead & Mary Jane Woolford had ten children, 9 born England & one born in Sydney, NSW, John b 1-9-1876, Rookwood NSW.

I cannot explain the link of Pounds to Kibblewhite. Some entries just show Kibblewhite.

    Cozen Sally.
    I have Dugald S KIBBLEWHITE death registered GRO:1963Mar/Basingstoke/6B/149 – so d. 1963 or 1962.
Subsequent to your info., I looked up Stanley Gilbert KIBBLEWHITE on the Commonwealth War Grave Commission website.
Did Iris Margaret KIBBLEWHITE marry and so have a different surname at death? I would trawl bmd registers at some stage.
    I live in Oxfordshire.

I’m still copying the KIBBLEWHITE Great Tree from paper onto PDF: there are some discrepancies that need explanation.

I had previously trawled a COXHEAD / KIBBLEWHITE link in 1861 Census (Class: RG9; Piece: 1273; Folio: 156; Page: 3):
Widow Harriet COXHEAD aged 78 b. in East Garston, Berkshire. She is living in Lydiard Millicent, Wiltshire with widowed visitor Hannah KIBBLEWHITE aged 73 b. in East Garston, Berks.

    In 1851 Census (Class: HO107; Piece: 1834; Folio: 201; Page: 3):
Widow Harriet COXHEAD aged 68 b. in East Garrison (sic), Berkshire. She is living in Lydiard Millicent, Wiltshire with unmarried sister Mary Ann KIBBLEWHITE aged ?66 b. in East Garrison (sic), Berks.

I have a Mary Jane WOOLFORD bapt. 8 Mar 1812 in Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire; daughter to William and Ann. Was the marriage of William COXHEAD and Harriet KIBBLEWHITE in 1804?

There is a Pounds Farm House in East Garston:
Pounds Farm House, East Garston, HUNGERFORD, Berkshire RG17 7HU ENGLAND.

Any use to you? No link that I know to my tree. Regards. Robert

How does all this tie in the Kibblewhite One-Name Study (if at all)?

(My interest is more remote than Sally's, although I'm aware of hers )

[QUOTE=Peter Goodey]How does all this tie in the Kibblewhite One-Name Study? Thank you for this tip, Peter.
The Kibblewhite names I am putting onto PDF come from nearly a score of old fashioned light-sensitive photocopy sheets that my father was given about thirty-five years ago. So it is partly for conservation purposes and partly to make it easier to use and understand. It is essentially three trees joined by two marriages: Mary KIBBLEWHITE + William WHITE in about 1490; and Thomas WHITE + Joan WARREN in 1558; that leads to the CROMWELL connection. Much of the KIBBLEWHITE descendent of Purton and Castle Eaton, Wiltshire is included.
The tree nearly always agrees (one major exception) with the limited number of checks I’ve been able to do but it doesn’t give sources so must have junk status for the time being. One wants to be able to ask sensible questions before communicating for the first time with the Guild of One-Name Studies whom I imagine as the principal keeper of Kibblewhite genealogy.
My personal family tree was built from base into the past and is referenced and kept separate.
    Kind regards. Robert

I understand how you feel but it may be worth just touching base with her at an early stage - I'm sure she'd be pleased to hear from you even if initially it's just a case of telling each other in broad terms what you've each got.

Good idea, Peter; I'll get myself organised and get in touch with her.
