    Default Pullier House & Brickmaker?

    Dear Anybody

Can someone please tell me what the first part of this occupation is? Thomas Ogden lived and worked around Manchester - Salford. I found him in the 1871 Census in Salford described as a 'pullier house +. brickmaker'. The actual description could have a 't' instead of the '+' between house and brickmaker???

    Thanks Karyn

Looks to me like "Publick House & brickmaker". ie he ran a pub & did some brickmaking on the side. Or vice versa.

    Thanks heaps Wirral

Seems like the 'taste' was in the family from way back. Nothing quite like a good Aussie red/white after a long day on the keyboard!!

    Regards Karyn from Aus.
