Royal Ulster Rifles

This is a very good idea as my query is military but not specific to any wars.

My Grandfather was in the Royal Ulster Rifles, but suposedly served in Palastine before WW2, but on his wedding certificate he gave his address as Milton Barracks Gravesend, does anyone know if RUR were stationed there or if they ever served in Palastine? (We don't know a lot about him, until 6 mths ago we didn't even know his mothers name)

Thank you Keith, he must have been 2nd Battalion, those movements fit it with the bits we do know, I can try and get his service records now I can narrow it down a bit,
