Alice Ann Cartman
Hi i have been trying(without success) to find any information about Alice ANN Cartman she was born in Blackburn,lancs in 1890,im told that she died in later life when her nightclothes caught fire ,sometime in the 60s or 70s,i cant find anything ,death records or anything about her i would really apprieciate any information anyone may have on her eg when or where she died,where she was burried,or even where she was living,ive been told she used to live some where around Cherry st in Blackburn lancs,if anyone can help i would be very grateful from Chammy

Was Cartman her maiden name or her married name?
When you say you can't find a death record where have you looked?
If it was on Ancestry the death registrations for the 60s and 70s are not individually indexed. You need to examine each individual page for her surname for each quarter and each year.

hi chammy there is a marriage registered for alice ann cartman and john spencer 1939 at blackburn holly trinity and a death registered 1951 alice ann spencer age 59 is this the one check out lancashire bmd site

Yes Cartman was her maiden name,as far as my mum can remember,she was a spinster,thanks for your help
