    Default Mary Alice Taylor

I am looking for the parents of Mary Alice Taylor, b. Bawtry abt. 1886.
Mary Alice was visiting John and Annie Taylor at the time of the 1901 census.
I would be so pleased if someone could tell me if she is with her parents at the time of the 1891 census
Alice would be abt. 5 years old.
    With thanks
    Carrie

    Hi Carrie

I looked on Ancestry and did not find Mary Alice, but there is an Alice M Taylor. As Henry is a postal messenger, that links rather well with the information I found for you on John Daniel Taylor

    RG12/3867/37/12
    Church Street, Bawtry
    Henry Taylor/Head/M/65/Postal Messenger/Northampton Rockingham
    Charlotte Taylor/Wife/M/62/Northampton Rockingham
    Annie Taylor/Daur/S/19/Dom Housekeeeper/Yorks Bawtry
    Alice M. Taylor/Visitor/5/Yorks Bawtry

I checked FreeBMD and think I've found her birth ?

Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
    Births Mar 1886
    TAYLOR Mary Alice V Doncaster 9c 720

The certificate would provide you with the parents' names

    FYI
    1881
    RG11/4694 /45/18
    Bridge Lane, Bawtry,
    Henry Taylor/Head/M/55/Rural Postman/Northampton Rockingham

    William Taylor/Son/14/Scholar/Yorks Bawtry
    Annie M~ (or V~) Taylor/Daur/S/9/Scholar/Yorks Bawtry

    best wishes
    Lynda
