I've been reading my paternal grandmother's journals. We have discovered some very enlightening information hidden in between the complaints about her eyesight and my grandfather's lodge nights, her political and religious insights, and her thoughts of different family members.

I'm trying to start the same type of journal, everyday things like the weather, work, family and throw in some more interesting family history, pictures, recipes, and of course, a little gossip and family secrets. This is one thing I hope to get from this seemingly endless searching for family history. Although, I have a lot to start with, I'm worried I'll run out. Where to start is the hardest part.

One day - my children and their children will have many more resources than we do now, but they won't need to do the searching. Oh well, it keeps me out of trouble.
