Hello! I am looking into my Granddad's war service, I have been given his service history from the Royal Navy and he was a Stoker on many ships. How do I find pictures of these ships and where they went to in the war of WW2? Also my Uncle (now deceased) believed my Granddad was on the cruiser that hit the Queen Mary - as apparently Granddad said he was and he was also in hospital in America for some time - how do I find out if this is true? How to I search if he was in hospital in America? Sorry for lots of question but not sure where to start and thought you could give me a starting point. Many thanks Karen.

Hi Karen
For the ships just google HMS ...... you should find heaps of information. If there was more that 1 ship of that name just add WW2.
Is this ship in his list - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Curacoa_(D41)
regards
Robert
